Our new paper has been published in Journal of Hepatology.
In this paper, Taek Chung (first author), in collaboration with Prof. Young Nyun Park (Dept. of Pathology), discovered somatic mutational profiles and transcriptomic changes occurring in pre-malignant lesions and overt carcinomas in biliary tract cancer, with participation of Seungho Oh, Jeongsoo Won and Jiho Park. With the largest patient sample cohort for biliary papillary neoplasm, whole-exome sequencing and spatial transcriptomic analysis revealed the heterogeneous nature of biliary premalignant lesions and its carcinogenic sequences, and the role of gene expression changes in the development of invasive carcinoma.
